Research description
Dr. Xu Haoran focuses on developing T cell-based vaccines and novel immunotherapy against cancer and emerging viral pathogens. To further optimize future T cell-based immunotherapy, he also emphasizes the research focus on tissue-resident memory T (TRM) cell function (EBioMedicine, 2021) and the underlying mechanism governing TRM cell differentiation (Cancer Research, 2024), including the TRM precursor cell population and the transcriptional network regulated by mucosal tissue microenvironment. These research schemes involve various preclinical infection and tumor animal models with high translational value.
Research focus
- Vaccine development for cancer and emerging infectious diseases.
- Tissue-resident memory T cell function and development mechanism.
- Bispecific antibodies engineering for cancer immunotherapy.
